About LFM
Back in the early eighties my father sent me to “summer school” arranged by the company where he worked. It was called PC college. A bunch of kids in their early teens learnt how to work a matrix printer, do simple tricks in DOS and to program in BASIC. He also got to borrow an IBM 8086 pc for us to use at home. In grade 7-9 I took an electable class - computer science. All of this had little meaning to me until I found Cycling 74’s Max (as a direct offspring of getting the Lemur) a few years ago. Before I knew it - twenty years later - I was programming again. There are obvious differences between “for a=1 to 10 : next” and “prepend /pads/light 0 0 1 1 0 0 1 1”, but I’d like to think that all those years during my teens are now coming of use. I’ve realised I’m more of a technician than a musician.
And that’s fine.
